The session will explore and identify ways participants can deepen their understanding of American Indian Studies of Wisconsin (often referred to as Wisconsin Act 31) content through texts and digital resources. Interested participants will leave this session with deeper understandings of and ideas for implementing American Indian Studies content into their teaching and learning while being able to identify and explore various sources of selected text and digital resources. Information that will be shared during the session will include but not limited to information about Wisconsin American Indian nation’s histories, treaties, sovereignty, and cultures. A wide variety of materials and resources will be discussed and explored with participants for implementing this content into their practice.
